Be In The Know

The substance abuse prevention task forces in the Narragansett, South Kingstown, and Chariho areas of Rhode Island are the sponsors of the Be In The Know (Kids Need Our Wisdom) website. Our objective is to arm families in our communities with the tools to help teens make good decisions that will lead them to a promising future. Research tells us that parents are the single most important reason why teens DON'T use alcohol or drugs.

We know that parenting teens can be frustrating and exhausting, but when parents set and enforce clear "no use" rules and are a positive example themselves, their teens are more likely to decide not to experiment.
